Diagnosis and Treatment of Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes

If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with diabetes, our goal is to educate you and help improve your outcome. Stamford Health Medical Group works in collaboration with the Stamford Hospital Diabetes Self-Management Education Program, an ADA-recognized program. In addition to helping you manage your diabetes, endocrinologists oversee other diabetes-related services, including continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy.

Endocrinology is the medical specialty that focuses on the endocrine system, the complex network of glands that produce the hormones that regulate your important bodily functions. Diabetes is the most common condition that endocrinologists treat, but it is far from the only one.
